It’s that time of year again and I have been busy with Crew profile photos.
Over the last couple of months I have had lots of calls from Captains looking for new jobs. Many of them haven’t had to look for a job in 10 or more years but it seems there is a current trend for Supeyacht owners to leave the ocean waves, selling their Motor Yachts and not buying new ones.
Hence the beginning of the year was a busy one with lots of Crew Profile photo bookings.
Now that the 2017 yachting season is upon us the newbies have started to arrive ready to embark on their new adventure in Yachting un aware of how competitive the industry is nowadays.
I have been working closely with The Crew Coach, Camper and Nicolson and YPI over the past couple of years offering a professional profile photo service to people in the Yachting Industry.
I have also decided to extend an offer from last year to all new crew arriving in Antibes in the form of a 50% discount on my standard Crew Profile Photo price. Yay!
I can’t impress on you enough the importance of a great C.V. picture when looking for a career in Yachting, thanks to all the media coverage over the last few years the secret is out and there are hundreds and hundreds of 20 somethings making their way to the Cote d’Azur in search of their dream job. Unfortunately many of them go home dissapointed and having spent all their money so making sure you stand out involves investment as soon as you arrive and although it won’t guarantee you a job, a great C.V. picture WILL bag you an interview and give you the opportunity to sell yourself.
Here’s one I took earlier….
Heather was one of the 4 lucky winners of the 2017 Super Yacht Scholarship and part of their prize was a photo shoot by yours truly. Heather booked hers straight away but the other 3 are yet to arrive in Antibes. I am looking forward to being part of their new careers.
